With the increased administrative burdens and costs created by insurance and government, I chose to sell my practice and facility to Pecos County Memorial Hospital. I continued in my
established practice as an employed physician. I continued my inpatient practice including surgical and obstetric care. I was Chief of Staff for the hospital for 5 of those years. Also, Texas Tech Medical School in Odessa, Texas, established a rural residency program at the hospital. I participated in resident instruction and eventually was placed in charge of the program.
APRIL 1, 2020 PRESENT CONTRACT PHYSICIAN, PECOS COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL I have worked parttime as an inpatient attending physician and have provided surgical and consulting services.

I retired from a busy Family Medicine Practice March 31, 2020. Since that time, I have continued to work for Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton, Texas, on a limited contract basis. I usually work in the PCMH Walk in Clinic for 7 days per month. I occasionally provide back on call coverage.I currently live near Kerrville on 3 acres and spend much of my time with DIY projects around the house and property. I also read extensively both for pleasure and in the ongoing study of medicine. My wife and I also enjoy visiting and spending time with our 6 children and 16 grandchildren
