Job Posting Medical Technologist Available Position: 2 Hours Full-time Job Description: Pecos County Memorial Hospital District in Fort Stockton, Texas, needs two full-time Medical Technologists. Duties: Performs laboratory technical procedures and analysis in the various areas of the laboratory. Collects specimens and obtains body fluid/blood samples, cultures from patients of all ages for interpretation in the treatment & diagnosis of disease. Capable of judging specimen acceptability, appropriateness of results, and making test modifications when necessary. Performs quality control, preventative maintenance, makes independent decisions, interprets abnormal results, maintains equipment, and pursue appropriate follow-up action in the event of variance from the norm. Adheres to the laboratory’s policies and procedures for instrument calibration and maintenance. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related Laboratory Sciences, ASCP or AMT or equivalent certification, good computer skills.
