Emergency Room Registration Clerk
JOB TITLE: Emergency Room Registration Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Business Office

JOB SUMMARY: Performs the duties of receptionist and maintains all clerical activities of the nursing unit, admission, collections, and discharge procedures. Will report to BOM.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

B. Personal Job-Related Skills: Legible handwriting and ability to spell, effective oral and written communication skills. Computer literacy skills for the entry and retrieval of data.

C. Licensure, Registry or Certification: None required.

D. Experience:

1. Prior Work Experience: Clerical and medical terminology experience preferred.

2. Technical Training: None required.

3. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require moderate periods of standing and walking and sitting for extended periods. Also required is bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds. The ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
